§ Mr. ForthResponsibility for the subject of the question has been delegated to the Employment Service under its chief executive. I have asked him to arrange for a reply to be given.
Letter from M. E. G. Fogden to Mr. Gerry Steinberg, dated 21 November 1995:
The Secretary of State has asked me to reply to your question about Jobclubs.
The information is not available in the form requested.
I am, however able to provide details of the number of people who joined the Jobclub during 1994/95 by Employment Service Region, together with the total average number of unemployed people during the same period. The proportion of Jobclub leavers who took up any job is also shown.
I hope this is helpful.
