To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will list, for each year since 1991, total health spending, expressed as a percentage of gross domestic product, for(a) the UK, (b) the EU, (c) the OECD and (d) for each OECD country. [41992]

The table shows total United Kingdom expenditure on the national health service expressed as a percentage of gross domestic product for each year since 1990–91. Information on expenditure on health in other countries is not available on a comparable basis.
