Mr. Oppenheim

I have been asked to reply.

The Post Office tells me that the number of redundancies in Royal Mail Northern Ireland, all of which have been achieved on a voluntary basis, in each of the past five years are as follows:

  • Year
  • 1991–92: 5
  • 1992–93: 21
  • 1993–94: 23
  • 1994–95: 20
  • 1995–96: 7 (to date)
