To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what plans he has for recording cautions on the police national computer. [41372]

From 1 November, the police service will record all cautions administered for reportable offences on the Phoenix database of the police national computer. This will ensure for the first time that police will have access to records of cautions administered by other forces as well as those issued by their own force.
