To ask the President of the Board of Trade what further plans he has to regulate the use of insurance company funds. [38686]

Mr. Jonathan Evans

We propose to update the annual returns which insurance companies are required to make to the Department, and to make some technical amendments to the regulations on the value placed on insurance companies' assets. Interested parties are being consulted on these proposals.
