§ Mr. MaddenTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment what further funding he has authorised to support two staff and running costs of the Allerton outreach team in Bradford; and if he will make a statement. [25987]
§ Miss WiddecombeThe original Employment Service source of funding for the Allerton outreach team has been absorbed into the single regeneration budget and the Employment Department no longer has a direct involvement in funding this project, which is managed by Bradford council.
However, for 1995–96, the Bradford and district training and enterprise council has made available £10,000 towards the cost of an outreach worker. I understand that the balance of the cost is being met by Bradford council. The TEC has also arranged for up to £10,000 of guidance vouchers to be available for Allerton's residents. I do understand that a trainee under the training for work programme continues to provide a second team member. A full range of ED programmes are available to help unemployed people in Bradford including the residents of Allerton.
