§ Mr. Baldry[holding answer 22 May 1995]The table lists the countries in which ODA supported reproductive health projects in 1994 through the bilateral aid programme, together with the number of such projects, where expenditure exceeded £50,000 per project, and the total amount spent for each country. These projects aim to enable men and women to have better access to family planning; enable women to experience safer motherhood and childbirth; and to improve sexual health. In addition, ODA contributed £19,435,000 in 1994 to the United Nations Population Fund, the International Planned Parenthood Federation and special programmes of the World Health Organisation for population and reproductive health work.
