§ Mr. Maclean[holding answer 22 May 1995]: As at 1 May there were 248 police officers serving with the National Criminal Intelligence Service, all full-time. Of these, 229 were seconded on central service terms and 19 were on periods of attachment.

§ Mr. Maclean[holding answer 22 May 1995]: In 1993–94 the net outturn for the National Criminal Intelligence Service was £20.068 million. The outturn in 1994–95, which has yet to be confirmed, is estimated to be £23.508 million.
