Mr. Ingram

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland when he last met the chairman and board of East Kilbride development corporation to discuss(a) the future of Scottish Nuclear and (b) the impact of the Rolls-Royce closure announcement on the local economy. [22383]

[holding answer 3 May 1995]: My meeting with the chairman planned for 1 May was deferred because of parliamentary commitments. It is currently being rescheduled.
