§ Mr. David DavisThe Brazilian authorities are well aware of concern in Britain that the rights and interests of the indigenous peoples of Brazil should be observed. Fourteen Ticuna Indians were killed on 28 March 1988 in the town of Benjamin Constant. The trial has been transferred from the state to the federal courts. It is expected to take place within a year.
