§ Mr. DorrellIn our White Paper on the future of the BBC we said that the BBC should continue to broadcast educational programmes of all kinds. The Broadcasting Act 1990 includes a number of provisions to ensure that the other terrestrial broadcasters provide educational 477W programmes, for schools, adult education and general consumption.
