§ Mr. RichardsThe death rate from coronary heart disease for people aged under 65 decreased from 92 to 60 per 100,000 between 1985, when Heartbeat Wales was440W established, and 1992 the latest year for which figures are available. This extremely encouraging change has taken place against a background of reduced smoking prevalence among adults and other improvements in lifestyles.
