To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will call in Amey Roadstones Corporation's application to expand Whatley quarry.

This application is currently being considered by Somerset county council. The Whatley quarry article 14 direction is still in place and the Secretary of State will, as he has been requested by a number of representations, consider whether he should call in the revised application for his own determination in due course.
