§ Sir Paul BeresfordThe Secretary of State has received a number of letters concerning this proposal and on 15 June 1995 served an article 14 direction on Aylesbury Vale district council which prevents it from granting planning permission without his consent.
This action provides the Secretary of State with the opportunity to look at the proposal and to judge whether or not he would be justified in using his powers of call-in in this case.
As this matter is under consideration, I am sure that the hon. Member will understand that I cannot comment upon the merits, or otherwise, of the proposal.
