§ Mr. ForthI understand from the president of the special educational needs tribunal that 170 tribunal hearings have taken place.
The decisions of tribunals are entirely independent of the Department. I have therefore asked the president to write to the hon. Member about the questions relating to the independent and non-maintained sectors.
The president of the tribunal will provide an annual report to the Secretary of State, a copy of which will be placed in the Library.
