§ Mr. MacleanMany local authorities and partnerships have installed closed circuit television systems in their town centres and other areas. The recent CCTV challenge competition has injected £5 million of prize money into 106 CCTV schemes across the country. These schemes will generate up to £13.8 million in matching funding from other sources, including the private sector.
