To ask the Secretary of State for Education (1) what has been the actual cost of totally funding supply cover during standard assessment tests(a) nationally (i) for seven-year-olds and (ii) for 11-year-olds and (b) in Nottinghamshire schools for (i) seven-year-olds and (ii) 11-year-olds; [28915]

(2) what is the total amount that has been (a) offered and (b) accepted in government grants by schools to subsidise the cost of standard assessment tests; [28914]

(3) what was the total projected cost of total funding supply cover during standard assessment tests (a) nationally (i) for seven-year-olds and (ii) for 11-year-olds and (b) in Nottinghamshire schools for (i) seven-year-olds and (ii) 11-year-olds. [28916]

I refer the hon. Member to the reply that I gave him on 6 June,Official Report, column 10. No information is available at present in respect of the projected costs of the national curriculum tasks to be used in the 1995–96 school year.
