§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonThe A1 steering group has met formally twice in the last two years on 22 February 1994 and 9 March 1995. The agenda covered road safety, traffic growth, progress with the promotion of road improvements, accident investigation and prevention measures and route management. The Government consider that the Al steering group provides a useful forum and propose to continue to sponsor annual meetings.
