To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what was the percentage of part-time workers as a proportion of the overall working population(a) in 1985 and (b) at the latest date for which figures are available; and if he will make a statement. 
§ Mr. Redwood
According to the labour force survey, in spring 1985, some 20 per cent. of employees of working age in Wales were in part-time employment. The figure for autumn 1994 was 24 per cent.
