§ Ms Armstrong
To ask the Parliamentary Secretary, Lord Chancellor's Department what additional funding he is making available for mediation work following his changes to divorce law. [35536]

Mr. John M. Taylor
The Government's proposal is to ask the Legal Aid Board to take on responsibility for the funding of family mediation for those who are financially eligible. The Lord Chancellor hopes to bring forward legislation to implement this in due course.

To ask the Parliamentary Secretary, Lord Chancellor's Department how much his Department has spent on mediation services, directly and indirectly, through resources made available to other organisations in the last five years, by region. [35533]
