HC Deb 19 July 1995 vol 263 c1342W
Ms Armstrong

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment if she will list for each civil service grade in her Department the number of(a) male and (b) female (i) full-time and (ii) part-time employees. [35468]

Mr. Robin Squire

The numbers of permanent non-industrial staff on 1 April 1995—before the recent machinery of Government changes—on a head count basis are shown in table 1 for the former Employment Department group and table 2 for the former Department for Education. There are staff in over 118 civil service grades employed in the former ED group and DfE. For convenience, the information has been grouped into grade equivalents.
