To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will make a statement about community health services in Lancashire. [33206]

Mr. Malone

North West Lancashire health authority is currently developing proposals for continuing health care needs. They will form the basis of a public consultation exercise which is expected to begin on 29 September 1995. They are also planning to boost general practitioner services along the Fylde coast by providing intensive rehabilitation services and primary care support centres.
