§ Mr. LangThe Government are committed to continuous exploration of opportunities to improve the conduct of activities currently carried out within the public sector through increased involvement of the private sector, including privatisation where appropriate. We are at present engaged in the privatisation of parts of Scottish Nuclear Ltd. My Department is also reviewing the scope for greater private sector involvement, including the possibility of privatisation, in the activities of Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd.
