To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what further steps he will take to protect the public enjoying the national parks for recreational purposes from dangers of unexploded live ammunition. [30560]

Mr. Soames

My Department will continue to warn the public of the dangers associated with military training areas, including those which fall within national parks. Although training areas are well defined and warning notices are placed at main access points, we are constantly looking for ways to improve further the safety of the public.
