To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, pursuant to his answer of 19 June,Official Report, column 16, regarding the national overview of land resources in Indonesia, if any of the project staff trained under the project were (a) stationed in East Timor or (b) responsible for reviewing the land resources and land use of East Timor. [31876]

[holding answer 30 June 1995]: The Indonesian project staff were attached to the department of transmigration in Jakarta. None were stationed in East Timor. Project staff, working with the UK consultants, reviewed the land resources and land use of the whole archipelago, including East Timor.
