To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what policy changes are planned in relation to the future of(a) Dykebar hospital, (b) Merchiston hospital and (c) Elderslie hospital which are likely to affect constituents of Paisley, South who are currently temporarily or permanently resident there. No policy changes are planned. The Government's commitment to providing more appropriate and better facilities in the community remains.

Argyll and Clyde health board and its partners in local government will be issuing a draft joint community care plan for consultation on 4 July. I understand that may make proposals affecting health board residents in the Renfrewshire area.
