HC Deb 10 January 1995 vol 252 c47W
Mr. Geoffrey Robinson

To ask the Minister of Agriculture Fisheries and Food how much per tonne is given to European farmers for growing sugar beet; and what is the value on the world market for sugar per tonne.

Mr. Jack

[pursuant to his reply, 15 December 1994, column 791]: The price at which quota sugar can be sold on the world market with the aid of export refunds was incorrect. This should have been around 280 ecu/tonne—£267/tonne*

*1 ecu = £0.953575
