§ Mr. Chris SmithTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what arrangements are in place for the timing of payments of 12 per cent. tax to the Exchequer by the organisers of the national lottery; and what provision has been made of the payment of interest to the Exchequer.
§ Mr. Heathcoat-AmoryPayments of lottery duty are made on the 15th of the month following the month in which the liabilities arises. There are no arrangements for the payment of interest to the Exchequer in relation to the lottery duty.
