To ask the Secretary of State for Education what representations she has received concerning competition for A-level students between further education colleges and schools.

My right hon. Friend receives many reports of greater responsiveness by schools and colleges to the needs of young people. We welcome that. Informed choice and a diverse education system are fundamental to higher participation and attainment.
