To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he expects to take decisions on applications for British citizenship by(a) Mr. Ali Al Fayed and (b) Mr. Mohammed Al Fayed; if he has all the information he requires on which to take decisions; and if he will make a statement.

As I explained in reply to a question from the hon. Member on 31 October 1994,Official Report, column 947, I do not propose to comment further on the detailed processing of these applications.
