§ Mr. BowisThe 17 cases referred to were spontaneous reports of suspected adverse reactions to measles and rubella vaccine which predominantly affected the nervous system. Doctors who reported these cases have been contacted to obtain further details of the reaction and the progress of these patients. Thirteen are known to have recovered from their reaction, two have not yet recovered and further information is not yet available in two cases. These figures are out of nearly 6.5 million children who were immunised during the campaign.
