§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonThe Government have given a commitment to provide, over time, quality pre-school places for all four-year-olds whose parents wish to take them up. Work is currently going on to develop the details of the policy and this has involved contacts with a number of organisations in Scotland. An announcement will be made as soon as possible.
