§ Mr. ForthParental choice is promoted by the publication of information in comparative performance tables and school prospectuses, by giving parents the right to express a preference for their choice of school and to vote for their school to become grant-maintained, by the establishment of city technology colleges, by enabling schools to become specialist technology and language colleges, by greater diversity in admission arrangements, and by the assisted places scheme.
