There are 13 installations subject to the large combustion plant directive in Wales. These are as follows:

  • British Steel plc—Llanwern works
  • British Steel plc—Shotton works, Clwyd
  • British Steel plc—Port Talbot works
  • Elf Oil Ltd.—Milford Haven refinery
  • Gulf Oil Refining Ltd.—Milford Haven, Dyfed
  • Monsanto plc—Newport, Gwent
  • Monsanto plc—Ruabon works, Clwyd
  • National Power plc—Usk power station
  • National Power plc—Aberthaw power station
  • National Power plc—Pembroke Power Station
  • Shotton Paper Co. Ltd.—Shotton, Clwyd
  • St. Regis Paper Co. Ltd.—Sudbrook, Gwent
  • Texaco Ltd.—Pembroke plant
