§ Dr. SpinkTo ask the Secretary of State for Education how many full-time equivalent employees were employed by the Essex local education authority other than those engaged within schools, in each of the last four years. [17837]
§ Mr. Robin SquireInformation on staff employed by local authorities is collected by the local government management board on behalf of the joint staffing watch group. The table shows the total number of staff employed within the education service of Essex local authority for the years 1991 to 1994. The survey does not distinguish between staff employed in schools and those employed elsewhere. As full-time equivalents of the part-time staff are not available, separate head-counts for both full-time and part-time staff are provided.
