To ask the Secretary of State for Transport how many parts of British Rail have been sold since November 1993. [15714]

Since November 1993, sales of the following British Rail businesses have been completed:

  • Meldon Quarry
  • Special Trains Unit.

In addition, since November 1993 British Rail has offered for sale some 20 other businesses, the sales of which are now under way.
