To ask the Secretary of State for Education if she will list the number of school playing fields by local education authority for(a) 1979, (b) 1983, (c) 1987, (d) 1992 and (e) the latest available date.

No information is available for years before 1993. The latest available data will take a little time to assemble. I shall write to the hon. Member as soon as it is available.

§ Mr. Hain
To ask the Secretary of State for Education if she will list the capital receipts from the sale of school playing fields for each of the last six years by education authority.
