§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonFollowing the meeting on 18 August between the Scottish Pre-School Play Association and Scottish Office officials, the Secretary of State was able to offer in principle a grant under section 10 of the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968 towards the cost of an organisation review. The offer is conditional on Scottish Office approval for the specification for the proposals from consultants to carry it out. These proposals have now been submitted and are being studied closely.
