To ask the Parliamentary Secretary, Lord Chancellor's Department how many(a) top secret and (b) secret files his Department holds.

There are three top secret and 124 secret files out of a total of 105,535 files in the Lord Chancellor's Department. These figures refer to individual file parts. The proportion of top secret and secret files is 0.002 per cent. and 0.117 per cent respectively.
