HC Deb 29 November 1994 vol 250 c683W
Mr. Beggs

Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

The conditions for the award of the Scottish certificate of education do not include specific provisions for the remarking of candidates' scripts after the issue of results. Presenting centres are however able to appeal on behalf of candidates for reconsideration of an award at higher grade at band "C" or above on the basis of attainment other than that produced in the Scottish Examination Board's set examination.
