To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what is his estimate of the Welsh non-domestic rate poundage for 1995.

Mr. Redwood

The 1995 revaluation has increased overall rateable values in Wales by around 18 per cent. I propose to reduce the Welsh poundage from 44.8 to 39.0p reflecting this.
