To ask the Secretary of State for Health under what legislation wheelchairs are provided to disabled people.

The national health service provides wheelchairs in exercise of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State's powers under section 5(2)(a) of, and schedule 2 to the National Health Service Act 1977.
