§ Mr. Nicholas BakerFigures on fire deaths are provided on a calendar year basis. In 1992 there were 594 fire deaths in dwellings and 11,206 non-fatal casualties. Provisional figures for 1993 show that there were 535 deaths from fires in dwellings and 11,370 non-fatal casualties.
