§ Mr. HagueBetween 1979 and 1990–91, the latest year for which figures are available, pensioners' total income from state pension and occupational pension grew at an estimated average annual rate of 3.1 per cent. for all pensioners.
The estimated average annual rate of growth between 1974 and 1979 was 0.4 per cent.
