§ Mr. Heathcoat-AmoryAccording to reports from the occupied territories, leaders of the military wings of Fatah and Hamas have agreed to cease settling disputes by violent means. I hope that this will lead to a reduction of violence in the occupied territories and to improve the prospects for Palestinian self-rule in Gaza.
