To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will report progress on the privatisation of the Civil Aviation Authority.

We announced at the time of the 1993 Budget that we were asking a group of officials to examine whether the national air traffic services of the Civil Aviation Authority could be privatised. This group has now reported and we are considering its recommendations. We hope to announce our response shortly.
