To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage, pursuant to his answer of 18 April,Official Report, column 388, what changes have been made in the timetable for the availability of figures for the actual attendance at national museums and galleries since April 1993; and if he will make a statement.

I provided provisional attendance figures for 1993–94 in my reply of 14 February at column578. The actual attendance figures are now being collected on a financial year basis and we hope to make them available in July.
