§ Mr. HanleyAs there was no existing official service residence at RAF Benson, it was necessary to convert and extend married quarters for the purpose. There was no specific budget for this work but the original estimate of costs in March 1993, including value added tax and fees, was £117,800. The project was financed from the property management allocation for RAF Benson, which included funds to cover the additional property management costs, including the refurbishment of McKee house, incurred as a result of the move of Headquarters 1 Group RAF to RAF Benson.
