HL Deb 31 March 1994 vol 553 c68WA
Lord Stoddart of Swindon

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, further to their Answer of 21st March (WA 20), they will ensure that Ministers, when answering oral questions, always give the pounds sterling equivalent for figures cited, and, when necessary, the conversion rate that has been used.

Lord Strathclyde

If oral questions ask explicitly for costs in ecus or pounds sterling or for the conversion rate used, Ministers endeavour to give the information sought. However, we do not give all that information orally as a matter of course, because the amount of time available for oral questions is limited.
