§ Mr. Spearing
To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, pursuant to his answer to the hon. Member for Newcastle upon Tyne, Central (Mr. Cousins) of 18 March,Official Report, column 863, by what means and when the recommendation of any senior regional director of single regeneration budgets will be publicised.

§ Mr. Baldry
The advice and recommendations from regional offices to Ministers about bids for the single regeneration budget will not be published. Ministers will reach final views on the bids in the light of these recommendations. Decisions will subsequently be published around the end of the year.
